This paper analyzes the actions produced in Argentina through the Red Cross, one of the first international entities that was formed in the country. This perspective of analysis can help to illuminate the influence of non-governmental organizations in a stage of gestation, formation and consolidation of the Argentine national State. The analysis covers from 1864 to 1930 and is due to the formation of the association until the first break of the democratic system in the country, when the Armed Forces initiated a major intervention. It focuses on the role of the Argentine Red Cross in three disasters in various areas of the interior of Argentina and in the City of Buenos Aires.||En este trabajo se analizan las acciones producidas en Argentina a través de la Cruz Roja, una de las primeras entidades internacionales que se formó en el país. Esta perspectiva de análisis puede contribuir a iluminar la influencia de organismos no gubernamentales en una etapa de gestación, formación y consolidación del Estado nacional argentino. El análisis abarca desde 1864 hasta 1930 y obedece a la conformación de la asociación hasta el primer quiebre del sistema democrático en el país, cuando las Fuerzas Armadas iniciaron una mayor intervención. Se centra en el rol de la Cruz Roja Argentina en tres catástrofes sucedidas en diversas áreas del interior argentino y en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires
