This article makes a filmic analysis of the documentary film Doméstica (2011), directed by Gabriel Mascaro, connecting concepts of subjectivity and authorship in documentaries and the forms of representation of the self nowadays. The characters and narrative of the film work as an analytical matrix to understand terms like self-ethnographies and self-representations. These concepts are, actually, more connected to the particularity of approaches in documentaries than to a narrative grounded in the representation and totalization of reality.Keywords: documentary, Ethnography, self-ethnography, Doméstica.||A partir de conceitos conectados à etnografia no documentário, este artigo faz uma análise do documentário Doméstica (2011), de Gabriel Mascaro. Os personagens e a concepção narrativa e imagética do filme funcionam como matriz de análise para se compreender suas relações com a autoetnografia, mais conectado à particularização dos enfoques e recortes do que a uma narrativa calcada na semelhança e na totalização.Palavras-chave: documentário, etnografia, autoetnografia, Doméstica.
