This article presents some characteristics of photographic practice as a work adopted by a family of Italian immigrants. Led by patriarch Luis Bianchi at the beginning of the 20th century established a photographic studio in Ponta Grossa-Pr. The trade was option to others Italian immigrants in many parts of Brazil. The sources used were newspapers, documents from City Hall, and own images of Bianchi’s Photo, who currently make up a collection of negatives left by three generations in the same family. The analysis of this documentary apparatus sought to demonstrate aspects of family history as well their relationship with the city that they chose to live in, the profession transmitted by two other generations continued the trade of his father, Luis, between 1913 and 2001.||Este artigo apresenta algumas características da prática fotográfica enquanto profissão adotadapor uma família de imigrantes italianos. Liderada pelo patriarca Luis Bianchi, no início do séculoXX instalou um estúdio fotográfico, em Ponta Grossa-Pr. O ofício foi opção de outros imigrantesitalianos em diversos locais do Brasil. As fontes utilizadas foram jornais, documentos da PrefeituraMunicipal, além das próprias imagens fotográficas do Foto Bianchi, que atualmente compõemum acervo de Negativos deixados por três gerações dentro da mesma família. A análise desseaparato documental procurou demonstrar aspectos da história da família, bem como sua relaçãocom a cidade que escolheram para morar e nela, a profissão transmitida por outras duas geraçõesque deram continuidade ao ofício do pai, Luis, entre 1913 a 2001.
