The brazillian rappers emerged as legitimate voices in the approach and production of social readings, assuming, in their style, the role of interpreters/narrators of their time. However, as the tensions around gender issues and representations of the feminine stamped in rap lyrics with sexist and sometimes misogynistic attitudes suggest, there is simultaneously a large space of struggles in which conservative positions and values are both reproduced and naturalized. Thus, through the analysis of songs produced between the late 1980’s and 2015, I propose a reading of the relations between the masculine and the feminine to understand how the sexual difference is also constructed by discourses that feed and legitimize it.||Os rappers, no Brasil, emergiram como vozes legítimas na abordagem e na produção de leituras sociais, assumindo, à sua moda, o papel de intérpretes/narradores de seu tempo. Entretanto, como as tensões em torno das questões de gênero e as representações do feminino estampadas em letras de rap com posturas machistas, sexistas e, por vezes, misóginas sugerem, há, simultaneamente, um grande espaço de lutas no qual posicionamentos e valores conservadores são reproduzidos, naturalizados e, também, contestados. Assim, por meio da análise de músicas produzidas entre o final dos anos 1980 até 2015, propõe-se uma leitura das relações entre o masculino e o feminino para entender como a diferença sexual é também construída por discursos que a alimentam e a legitimam.
