Este trabajo presenta de forma sucinta la historia del Servicio Histórico del Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM), desde su fundación en 1975 hasta nuestros días. Este archivo y sus colecciones dan la posibilidad del conocimiento directo de las fuentes primarias, es decir, los proyectos originales y la documentación gráfica y textual que generaron, apoyadas en las secundarias, como bibliografía, informes críticos y reportajes fotográficos del edificio, que constituyen las acciones básicas que intervienen en la investigación y análisis de la Arquitectura.||This paper presents the succinctly story of the Historical Service of the College of Architects of Madrid (COAM), since its founding in 1975 until today. This institution and its collections give the possibility of direct knowledge of the primary sources, ie, the original projects and graphics and textual documentation generated, supported by the secondary, literature, reports and photographic critics of the building, which are the basic actions involved in the investigation and analysis of architecture.
