This article aims to analyze the Guinean film Nha Fala according to its narrative (plot and function) and genre (musical commedy) aspects, searching for an interpretation of the problem of tradition both within the film and the Guinean contemporary culture. The title Nha Fala, in Guinean creole, means at the same time “my voice”, “my destiny”, “my life” and “my path”.||O objeto de estudo deste artigo é o filme Nha Fala, título que, em crioulo da Guiné-Bissau, país africano de língua oficial portuguesa, quer dizer, simultaneamente, “minha voz”, “meu destino”, “minha vida” e “meu caminho”. Essa produção será analisada segundo aspectos narrativos (enredo e função) e de gênero (comédia musical), buscando interpretar a questão da tradição tanto no filme quanto na cultura guineense contemporânea.
