One of the central movements of Arendt’s The human condition is her analysis of the basic features of the activity of action, notably its capacity to start new beginnings in a web of human relationships. It’s crucial to Arendt emphasize the close articulation between action and freedom and between freedom and plurality. By this reason she argues that freedom can only be given in conditions of non-sovereignty. Notwithstanding, she thinks that within the realm of action can be found the remedies for its frailties: irreversibility, unpredictability, boundlessness and ambiguity, which are remedied by forgiveness, by promise, by “act in concert” and by the interchange of perspectives in a common world. In order to understand the meaning of the action is fundamental to realize that the sources of its dignity are the same as its frailty, and that the reconciliation with the tragic aspect of its non-sovereignty befalls by means of the potentialities of the action itself.||Um dos movimentos centrais de A condição humana, de Hannah Arendt, é a análise das características fundamentais da atividade da ação, notadamente sua capacidade de estabelecer novos inícios em uma teia de relações humanas. É decisivo para Arendt destacar a articulação estreita entre ação e liberdade e entre liberdade e pluralidade. Em vista disto, ela sustenta que a liberdade só pode se dar em condições de não-soberania. Não obstante, julga que no âmbito da ação podem ser encontrados os remédios para suas fragilidades: a irreversibilidade, a imprevisibilidade, a ilimitabilidade e a ambiguidade, remediadas pelo perdão, pela promessa, pelo “agir em concerto” e pelo intercâmbio de perspectivas em um mundo comum. Na compreensão da ação é decisivo perceber que as fontes de sua dignidade são as mesmas da sua fragilidade e que a reconciliação com o aspecto trágico de sua não-soberania se dá pelas potencialidades da própria ação.
