This article establishes a few parallels between the demonstrations of June 2013 and the ones that took place from 2015 to 2016, with the latter demanding the impeachment of the then President of the Republic, Dilma Rousseff (from the Worker’s Party). The text follows three axes of analysis: 1) the discussion on the socioeconomic profile of the public present in both sets of demonstrations; 2) the main slogans and demands presented in each of the time frames; 3) the political-ideological profile of the movements that called for and/or led the protests. These axes converge into a discussion concerning the role played by segments of the middle classes in the conjunctures at hand. Aware of the impossibility of exhausting all of the issues raised, we seek to argue, based on empirical research, that the protests in June opened up a new political cycle in Brazil, marked by the liberal-conservative offensive against the Worker’s Party’s administrations.||O artigo estabelece alguns paralelos entre as manifestações de junho de 2013 e aquelas que ocorreram durante o biênio 2015-2016, nas quais exigia-se o impeachment da então presidente da República, Dilma Rousseff (PT). Três eixos de análise organizam o texto: 1) a discussão sobre o perfil socioeconômico do público presente em ambos os blocos de manifestações; 2) as principais bandeiras e reivindicações apresentadas em cada ocasião; 3) o perfil político-ideológico dos movimentos convocantes e/ou dirigentes dos protestos. Cada um desses eixos converge para uma discussão de fundo concernente ao papel desempenhado por segmentos das classes médias nas conjunturas em tela. Cientes da impossibilidade de esgotar todas as questões suscitadas, buscamos argumentar, com base em pesquisa empírica, que os protestos de junho viriam a inaugurar um novo ciclo político no Brasil, marcado pela ofensiva liberal-conservadora aos governos do PT.
