In this text, I intend to think about a social history of football experienced by the black community in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, on the border with Uruguay. I will address the racial issue as a centrality in the development of this sport in the first half of the 20th century on the border, focusing on the 1930s. I intend to show how much the sport has developed, but being guided by eugenics and the process of racialization in society. In this sense, I will also be characterizing the football clubs that were linked to the black community of Jaguarão, the stadiums and fields where the matches were played, the approach of the press, names of players, the sociability activities of the clubs beyond the ball game. Evidence of the historical experience of the black community in football is to observe the fight against racism and the forms of positive insertion of a racial identity in that extremely racialized society.||Pretendo, neste texto, pensar uma história social do futebol experienciado pela comunidade negra no interior do Rio Grande do Sul, na fronteira com o Uruguai. Abordarei a questão racial como uma centralidade no desenvolvimento deste esporte na primeira metade do século XX na fronteira, com foco na década de 1930. Pretendo evidenciar o quanto o esporte se desenvolveu, mas sendo pautado pela eugenia e pelo processo de racialização na sociedade. Neste sentido, estarei também caracterizando os clubes de futebol que estavam vinculados à comunidade negra de Jaguarão, os estádios e campos onde jogavam as partidas, a abordagem da imprensa, nomes de jogadores, as atividades de sociabilidade dos clubes para além do jogo de bola. Evidenciar a experiência histórica da comunidade negra no futebol, é observar a luta contra o racismo e as formas de inserção positiva de uma identidade racial naquela sociedade extremamente racializada.
