This paper deals with sound and sustainability, and arises from the idea that poor sound treatment is incompatible with sustainable development. In order to develop Education for Sustainable Development in the initial training of future teachers, from the area of musical expression and, specifically, from the subject "Aural Education" of the Degree in Early Childhood Education and the Degree in Primary Education, research has been carried out using the concepts of "noise pollution" and "soundscape". Its aim was to analyse the evolution in the knowledge and perception, and in the sensitivity and interest of pre-service teachers in the treatment of sound, acoustic conditions and sound environments in different contexts, and to observe their relationship with the Sustainable Development Goals. The "action-research" methodology has been used. After the initial diagnosis, an intervention was carried out consisting of two projects: a theoretical research on "Noise pollution" or "The soundscape" and its broadcasting in podcast format, and a creative research in which participants used sounds from the environment to compose a short piece of music. Finally, the participants' opinions on the experience were collected. The results indicate an improvement in the aspects analysed and show the relationship of the concepts developed with SDG 3, SDG 4 and SDG 11. The pre-service teachers have shown their commitment to achieving a sustainable future, an important challenge in today's society.||Este trabajo trata sobre el sonido y la sostenibilidad, y surge de la idea de que un mal tratamiento sonoro es incompatible con el desarrollo sostenible. Para desarrollar la Educación para el Desarrollo Sostenible en la formación inicial del futuro profesorado, desde el área de expresión musical y, en concreto, desde la asignatura “Educación auditiva” del Grado en Educación Infantil y del Grado en Educación Primaria, se ha realizado una investigación utilizando los conceptos “contaminación acústica” y “paisaje sonoro”. Su objetivo ha sido analizar la evolución en el conocimiento y la percepción, y en la sensibilidad y el interés del profesorado en formación sobre el tratamiento del sonido, las condiciones acústicas y los entornos sonoros en diferentes contextos, y observar su relación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Se ha utilizado la metodología “investigación-acción”. Tras el diagnóstico inicial se ha llevado a cabo una intervención constituida por la realización de dos proyectos: una investigación teórica sobre “La contaminación acústica” o “El paisaje sonoro” y su difusión en formato podcast, y una investigación creativa en la que los participantes han utilizado sonidos del entorno para componer una breve pieza musical. Finalmente, se ha recogido la opinión de los participantes sobre la experiencia. Los resultados indican una mejora en los aspectos analizados y muestran la relación de los conceptos desarrollados con los ODS 3, ODS 4 y ODS 11. El profesorado en formación se ha mostrado comprometido para lograr un futuro sostenible, un importante reto de la sociedad actual.
