Esta pesquisa se propôs a investigar como a cultura da mídia atua na subjetivação de uma docente de História do ensino fundamental de sétima série. A observação em sala de aula foi realizada durante a exibição do longa-metragem Coração de Cavaleiro no tema trabalhado sobre a cultura da Idade Média. A estratégia utilizada foi acompanhar o desenvolvimento de uma etapa do plano de ensino da professora, em que tanto o uso de vídeo quanto a discussão do tema cultural estivessem contemplados, de forma que fosse possível analisar desde a utilização do artefato até sua mediação e repercussão nos trabalhos acadêmicos dos alunos. Além de assistir a três de suas aulas, também entrevistei a professora em dois momentos distintos.||This study proposes to investigate how the media culture influences the subjectivity of a seventh grade History teacher in elementary education. The classroom observation was carried out during an exhibition of the feature length movie “A Knight’s Tale” on the theme focused on, the culture of the Middle Ages. The strategy used was to monitor the development of one stage of the teacher’s teaching plan, in which both the use of video and the discussion of the cultural theme were considered, in such a way that it was possible to analyze everything, from the use of the artifact through to its mediation and repercussions on the students’ academic work. Besides observing three classes, I also interviewed the teacher twice.
