A manipulação da cultura é tematizada em três momentos neste ensaio, com a apropriação da aura pelo mercado, com o controle de difusão de informações pelos meios de comunicação de massa e na falha desse sistema aberta pela arte. Nesses três planos a teoria das imagens é a linha que norteia a leitura de “A obra de arte na era da reprodutibilidade técnica” de Walter Benjamin, “Crise em arte?”, de Vilém Flusser e a ação do artista Yuri Firmeza, em 2006, na ocasião de sua participação no projeto “Artista Invasor” no MAC-CE. ||This paper offers a preliminary exploration into the culture manipulation in three moments: in the first place by the appropriation of aura by the market; second by the controlling of the information diffusion by the mass media; and, finally, the failure of this control system provoked by the artwork. In these three conjectures, the theory of images is the line that guides the reading Walter Benjamin's work. “The work of art in the age its technological reproducibility”, Vilém Flusser's “Crisis in art?” and the artistic action of Yuri Firmeza on the occasion of his participation in the project “Artista Invasor” at MAC-CE (2006).
