Com este artigo, pretendemos observar como a crítica de cinema no Brasil recebeu o filme Tabu e como ele é visto em meio à recente produção do cinema português. Partimos da perspectiva dos estudos de recepção, aqui em uma abordagem transnacional, uma vez que estudamos um tipo de recepção que acontece fora do contexto sociocultural original da obra de origem. Aliamos essa abordagem com os preceitos teórico-metodológicos da retórica e da interpretação, a fim de compreender os significados e sentidos que o filme produziu nos discursos da crítica de cinema brasileira especializada. E também tentamos observar quais as estratégias argumentativas os críticos usam para avalizar e interpretar um filme.Palavras-chave: cinema português, crítica cinematográfica, recepção, retórica.||With this paper, we intend to observe how Brazilian critics received the movie feature Tabu, and how they see it among the new production of the recent Portuguese cinema. We part from the perspective of the reception studies, here in a transnational approach because we study a kind of reception taken place out of its original and sociocultural context of production. We cross it with theoretical and methodological approaches from Rhetoric and interpretation, in order to understand the meanings and senses that the movie produced in the discourse of the specialized Brazilian film criticism.
