O presente artigo analisará as estratégias de afirmação social das mulheres
no século II d. C. no romance O asno de ouro, de Apuleio. Este revelanos
uma preocupação excessiva com o declínio da instituição
matrimonial em função da emancipação feminina. Para tanto,
escolhemos as personagens Psiquê, a esposa do jornaleiro, Fótis e
Méroe, representantes do universo feminino no Mundo Romano.
Abstract
The article will analyse the social affirmation strategies of the women
from 2nd century A.D. in the novel O asno de ouro, by Apuleio. It will
reveal us an excessive worry about the matrimonial institution decline
because of female emancipation. For that, we have chosen the
characters psyche, the news carriers wife, Fótis and Méroe. They are
the female universe representatives from the Roman World.
