The article highlights the complex relation between otherness and the multiplicity of subjects and points of view in the documentary cinema. It identifies and analyzes the image repertoires about the relationships that individuals develop with the sacred and the characters’ narrative skill of the film Santo Forte (Eduardo Coutinho, 1999).||O artigo sublinha a complexa relação entre alteridade e multiplicidade de sujeitos e olhares no cinema documentário. Identifica e analisa os repertórios imagéticos sobre as relações que os indivíduos desenvolvem com o sagrado, e a habilidade narrativa de personagens do filme Santo forte (Eduardo Coutinho, 1999).
