The Regeneración is a newspaper founded in August 1900, by brothers Jesus and Ricardo Flores Magón, in Mexico City. In 1905 it became an official publication of the Mexican Liberal Party (PLM), and during the violent period of the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) it was published from the U.S. border with Mexico until October 1918. Despite the fact that Regeneración has been the object and subject of many academic researches, this article intends to focus on an important aspect of it that is not very studied: its political cartoons and illustrations. Through an analysis of the meaning of such images, this paper aims to demonstrate that Regeneración used art as a form of political propaganda also, criticizing the way taken by the Mexican Revolution and promoting anarchism as the main alternative for social and political government.||O Regeneración foi um jornal fundado em agosto de 1900, pelos irmãos Ricardo e Jesús Flores Magón, na Cidade do México. Em 1905 tornou-se publicação oicial do Partido Liberal Mexicano (PLM), e, durante o período armado da Revolução Mexicana (1910 – 1920) foi editado na fronteira dos Estados Unidos com o México, até outubro de 1918. Apesar de ter sido objeto e tema de várias pesquisas, esse artigo pretende trabalhar um aspecto importante, porém pouco pesquisado de Regeneración: suas charges e ilustrações políticas. Por meio de uma análise do signiicado de tais imagens, esse texto tem como objetivo demonstrar que o Regeneración também utilizou a arte como uma forma de propaganda política, ao criticar os rumos da Revolução Mexicana e promover o anarquismo como a principal alternativa de governo político e social.
