This article analyzes the life trajectory of homeless black women in the Maria da Penha occupation of the MTST. From interviews conducted during field research, the motivations for engagement in the struggle for housing were identified while we examined how the combination of gender, race and social class determinations enhances its political organization within the movement that performs a double task: to provide answers to problems related to work and homelessness, and positively re-signify their identities as women and blacks.||Este artigo analisa a trajetória de vida das mulheres negras sem-teto da ocupação Maria da Penha do MTST. A partir de entrevistas realizadas durante pesquisa de campo, foram identificadas as motivações do engajamento na luta por moradia, ao mesmo tempo em que examinamos como a combinação das determinações de gênero, raça e classe social potencializa a sua organização política no interior do movimento que, desempenha uma dupla tarefa: dar respostas aos problemas ligados ao trabalho e à falta de moradia; e ressignificar positivamente suas identidades como mulheres e negras.
