This paper aims to interpret the trumpet (salpinx), in iconography and texts, in its various links with the war in Ancient Greece, namely in Athens, seeking to analyze military functions and symbolisms.||Este artigo tem com o objetivo interpretar a trombeta (salpinx), na iconografia e nos textos, em suas diferentes ligações com a guerra na Grécia antiga, em particular em Atenas, buscando analisar funções militares e simbolismos.
