This paper presents an excerpt from a dissertation entitled. “Understandings of Care and Education of infantil 04 and 05's teachers of the municipal schools in Francisco Beltrão/PR". Our objective is to find out and understand how the understandings of teachers of infantil 04 and 05 classes are related to the concepts provided in the Political Pedagogical Projects - PPPs of the schools. This text is divided into four sections. In the first moment, we present the historical relationship between care and education in children's education. In the second moment, we show the conceptions of care and education in the PPPs of the schools. Then we discuss how teachers understand the binomial and the implications this has in their pedagogical practice. Finally, we relate the conceptions of care and education from the PPPs to the understanding of the teachers. For this purpose, Kramer (2005), Guimarães (2011), Azevedo (2011), and Montenegro (2001) support our analysis. The questionnaires given to the teachers and the analysis of the documents showed the relationship between the documents and the teachers' perceptions. We found a theoretical relationship in both the PPPs and the teachers' conceptions. Thus, our analyses revealed 04 conceptions of care and education in the PPPs and, through the teachers' speech, 03 conceptions of care and 04 of education. These results are related to the way teachers understand the binomial and the educational process.||Este texto apresenta um recorte da dissertação intitulada “Compreensões de Cuidado e Educação das Professoras das Turmas de Infantil 04 e 05 das Escolas Municipais de Francisco Beltrão/PR”. Temos como objetivo identificar e compreender como as concepções das professoras das turmas de Infantil 04 e 05 se relacionam com as concepções previstas nos Projetos Político-pedagógicos -PPPs das escolas. Este texto se divide em quatro (04) momentos. No primeiro apresentamos a relação histórica entre cuidado e educação na educação infantil. No segundo momento, evidenciamos as concepções de cuidado e educação presentes nos PPPs das escolas. Em seguida, discutimos como as professoras entendem o binômio e o impacto deste na sua prática pedagógica. Por fim, relacionamos as concepções de cuidado e educação dos PPPs com as compreensões das professoras. Para tanto, Kramer (2005), Guimarães (2011), Azevedo (2011) e Montenegro (2001) embasam nossas análises. Os questionários aplicados às professoras e a análise dos documentos evidenciaram as relações entre as concepções dos documentos e das professoras. Tanto nos PPPs quanto a partir das concepções das professoras, percebemos uma relação teórica. Assim sendo, o resultado das nossas análises evidenciou 04 concepções de cuidado e educação nos PPPs das instituições, e a partir das falas das professoras, 03 concepções sobre cuidado e 04 sobre educação. Esses resultados interligam-se à forma como as professoras compreendem o binômio e o processo educativo como um todo.
