This article proposes a reading of Clarice Lispector 's A hora da estrela, based mainly on the concept of enunciation for discourse analysis guided by the works of Michel Pêcheux and Eduardo Guimarães. That is, understanding the enunciation in view of the discursive subject and not an empirical one that would transmit an experience of his, we understand that it works affected by the ideology and the history. Thus, enunciation, as a discursive practice, does not establish a direct relation with "reality", although it functions as if it were transparent. By analyzing this referential illusion that affects the subject and the enunciation, we analyze the novel by Lispector in order to continue thinking about the politician who makes the language - and therefore the symbolic - work in the narrative, thinking like the body of the central character, Macabéa, is elaborated by the enunciator in relation to the urban space and the social imaginary in the procedures of signification.||Este artigo propõe uma leitura de A hora da estrela, de Clarice Lispector, a partir, principalmente, do conceito de enunciação para a análise do discurso, orientada pelas obras de Michel Pêcheux e Eduardo Guimarães. Entendendo a enunciação com base em um sujeito discursivo e não em um empírico que transmitiria uma experiência sua, compreendemos que ela funciona afetada pela ideologia e pela história. Sendo assim, a enunciação, como prática discursiva, não estabelece relação direta com “a realidade”, ainda que funcione como se fosse transparente. Problematizando esta ilusão referencial que afeta o sujeito e a enunciação, analisamos a novela de Lispector para continuarmos pensando o político, que faz funcionar a linguagem – portanto, o simbólico – na narrativa, pensando como o corpo da personagem central, Macabéa, é elaborado pelo enunciador em relação ao espaço urbano e ao imaginário social nos procedimentos de significação.
