The short story “Tão Felizes”, by Ivan Angelo, is the object of analysis of this paper that uses French Semiotics as theoretical reference. The short story recreates the dialogue between a female subject and her husband, in the present tense, the day after a night party at which both were present. The text presents only the female voice, thus revealing the woman’s image of marriage and her husband. The aim of this paper is to analyze the enunciative strategies used by the enunciator of the text to lead his enunciatee to understand how the images of the husband and of marriage are constructed at the level of enunciated enunciation and thus re-dimensioned. According to French semiotics, it is the fiduciary contract that supports the regime of adhesion of the enunciatee. In order to apprehend the enunciator’s persuasive doing and the enunciatee’s interpretive doing, one needs to analyze the text’s manifested figurativeness, since it consists of one of the means by which the enunciatee’s adhesion is achieved, especially in literature, among whose properties one finds the constant review of the figurative veridiction contract. ||O conto “Tão Felizes”, de Ivan Ângelo, é objeto de análise deste trabalho, que se vale do referencial teórico da Semiótica Francesa. O conto simula o diálogo entre um sujeito feminino e seu marido, no presente da enunciação, no dia posterior a uma noite de festa em que ambos estiveram presentes. O texto manifesta apenas a fala do sujeito feminino na qual se revela a imagem que ela possui do marido e do casamento. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as estratégias enunciativas de que se vale o enunciador do texto para levar o enunciatário a apreender o modo como se constrói a imagem do esposo e do casamento no nível da enunciação enunciada e seu redimensionamento operado pelo sujeito da enunciação. Segundo a teoria semiótica, é o contrato de natureza fiduciária que fundamenta o regime de adesão do enunciatário-leitor ao texto que lê. Para adquirir conhecimento do fazer persuasivo do enunciador e do fazer interpretativo do enunciatário é necessário analisar o estatuto da figuratividade que se manifesta no texto, pois uma das formas de adesão do enunciatário ao texto enunciado se dá por meio da construção da figuratividade, especialmente na literatura, que tem como uma de suas principais propriedades a revisão constante do contrato de veridicção figurativa.
