O artigo é um estudo sociológico sobre a experiência associativa negra, cujo diálogo com o pensamento social brasileiro sobre a vida negra em São Paulo é fundamental. Busca-se discutir experiências que funcionam como formas de solidariedade do associativismo negro em luta antirracista, de maneira por vezes mais ou menos explícitas e que nem sempre foram verificadas assim, especialmente no âmbito de uma história sociológica dos estudos de relações raciais atento ao grupo social negro paulistano. Tais experiências estão situadas entre os anos 1950 e 1970 em São Paulo, tendo como foco a Associação Cultural do Negro (1954-1976).||The article is a sociological study on the black associative experience, whose dialogue with Brazilian social thought on black life in São Paulo is a core topic. The aim is to discuss experiences that function as forms of solidarity of black associations in the anti-racist struggle, in ways that are sometimes more or less explicit and that have not always been verified in this way, especially within the scope of a sociological history of racial relations studies attentive to black people. Such experiences are situated between the 1950s and 1970s at São Paulo city, focusing on the Associação Cultural do Negro (1954-1976), an organization that serves as a link between associative experiences from the beginning of the 20th century and more recent decades, at the end of the dictatorship.
