This article focuses on popular Brazilian musical productions, especially from the 1970s onwards, based on the survey of songs and artists that dealt with Afro-religiosities, and their recognition within the temples of religions of African origin. By using the popular songs as “pontos de Umbanda”, the musicality of the temples demonstrates that they have traveled through a kind of double way in the historiography on Brazilian popular music in the XX and XXI century, where research indicates that “samba”, for example, appeared in some Afro-religious temples. Thus, this brief historical analysis aims to reflect on the representations of a worldview of the temples communities in the field of artistic manifestations in Brazil, as well as the re-significations of these arts by these peoples, as strategies of resistance overlapping in the singular forms of manifestation of human sacredness through music.||O presente artigo tem como tema as produções musicais populares brasileiras, sobretudo a partir da década de 1970, por meio de um levantamento sobre canções e artistas que versaram sobre afro-religiosidades e seu reconhecimento dentro dos terreiros de religiões de matriz africana. Ao utilizar as canções populares como pontos de umbanda, a musicalidade dos terreiros demonstra ter percorrido uma espécie de via de mão dupla na historiografia sobre música popular brasileira no século XX e XXI, na qual pesquisas indicam que o samba, por exemplo, surgiu em alguns terreiros afro-religiosos. Assim, esta breve análise histórica, tem como objetivo refletir sobre as representações de uma cosmovisão das comunidades de terreiro no campo das manifestações artísticas no Brasil, bem como, as ressignificações dessas artes por esses povos, como estratégias de resistência imbricadas nas singulares formas de manifestação da sacralidade humana através da música.
