In this article we discuss the paths of research and practice that relate the use of digital technology in the architectural design process and also the relevance of their use both in the national and international context. We question if there is the danger of digital technology exclude the creativity of the architect or, instead, if it can encourage this same creativity. To this purpose we briefly present some digital hypotheses in the aim of the architecture design process which are analyzed from the point of view of its impact on the design process.||Neste artigo discutem-se os caminhos de investigação e prática que relacionam o uso da tecnologia digital no processo de projeto em Arquitetura e ainda a pertinência do seu uso no contexto atual nacional e internacional. Questionamo-nos se existe o perigo da tecnologia digital excluir o papel e a criatividade do arquiteto ou se esta poderá ser um trampolim para explorar essa mesma criatividade. Para isso é feita uma descrição sumária das hipóteses digitais atuais em contexto de projeto de arquitetura as quais são analisadas sob o ponto de vista do seu impacto conhecido no processo de projeto.
