Prison literature constitutes an object of great value and significance to study and relate History to Literature in the field of contemporary Brazilian narratives. The core object of this study are the works both Memórias de um sobrevivente (Memories by a survivor) by Luiz Alberto Mendes and Diário de um detento (Diary by a detainee) by Jocenir, and it aim(s to analyze the hybrid nature of their forms, which have elements of fiction, testimonial and autobiography. This group of writings has solid information about History and the social practices of the social reclusion in use in the violent routine of the Brazilian prisons, this set of works also shows literary density, an aspect to which the autobiographical elements that comprise them contributes, as well as the perspective of narration of experience, its transposition into the sphere of language.||A literatura do cárcere constitui objeto privilegiado para o estudo das relações entre a História e a Literatura no terreno das narrativas brasileiras contemporâneas. Tendo como objeto central as obras Memórias de um sobrevivente, de Luiz Alberto Mendes, e Diário de um detento, de Jocenir, o presente trabalho busca analisar a natureza híbrida da sua forma, que comporta elementos de ficção, depoimento, testemunho e autobiografia. Ao mesmo tempo em que diz muito sobre a História e as práticas sociais de reclusão social vigentes na rotina violenta dos presídios do Brasil, este conjunto de escritos não deixa de apresentar densidade literária, aspecto para o qual contribuem os elementos autobiográficos que os compõem, bem como a perspectiva da narração da experiência, sua transposição para a esfera da linguagem.
