This study analyzes the relationship between women and leisure, based on data from the research “Lazer no Brasil”, with a focus on the northeast and southeast regions from the country. The results demonstrate the existence of disparity between what women would like to experience in their leisure time and what they actually achieve. Regardless of the regions, the data show that they have the guarantee of their right to leisure impaired by the different working hours they exercise; by the scarcity in the diversification of leisure; by lack of time, due to issues related to tasks culturally understood as a function of women, and by the lack of financial resources.||
Este estudo analisa a relação mulheres e lazer, a partir dos dados da pesquisa Lazer no Brasil, com um recorte direcionado às regiões nordeste e sudeste brasileiras. Os resultados demonstram a existência de disparidade entre o que as mulheres gostariam de vivenciar no lazer e o que de fato conseguem. Independentemente das regiões, os dados apontam que elas têm a garantia do seu direito ao lazer prejudicada pelas diferentes jornadas de trabalho; pela escassez na diversificação do lazer; pela falta de tempo, devido às questões relacionadas às tarefas culturalmente entendidas como função das mulheres e pela falta de recursos.
