This article presents a brief analysis of the antiliberal nationalist upsurge in Hungary after the 1990s in light of the Gramscian concept of hegemony, highlighting, at the political level, the role of discursive production in the formation of the transitional class and, at the economic and social level, the role of educational policy.||Este artigo apresenta uma breve análise da reviravolta nacionalista antiliberal na Hungria após a década de 1990 à luz do conceito gramsciano de hegemonia, destacando, no plano político, o papel da produção discursiva na formação da classe de transição e, no plano econômico e social, o papel da política educacional.
