The aim of this article is to analyze the dialectical categories "Content and Form" in the role of the character Maleficent in the printed work Rosicler (1812) and in the film Maleficent (2014), in order to perceive confluences and dissonances in the role of the character in both works. As a point of comparison, we will take Maleficent's transition from antagonism in the book to heroic protagonism in the movie. The study was carried out using bibliographical research. Data analysis was guided by the assumptions of Comparative Literature Theory and Historical-Cultural Theory. To this end, we used the studies of Carvalhal (2006), Scoparo (2018), Vygotsky (1999), Lukács (1970) and others. The results show that the character's rise as a heroine is mainly due to her strong actions, especially the kindness and love she expresses towards Aurora.
||Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as categorias dialéticas “Conteúdo e Forma” no papel da personagem Malévola na obra impressa intitulada Rosicler (1812) e na obra fílmica Malévola (2014), a fim de perceber confluências e dissonâncias no papel da personagem em ambas as obras. Como ponto de comparação, tomaremos a passagem do antagonismo de Malévola no livro para o protagonismo heroico no filme. O estudo foi realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica. A análise dos dados foi orientada pelos pressupostos da Teoria da Literatura Comparada e da Teoria Histórico- Cultural. Para tanto, utilizamos os estudos de Carvalhal (2006), Scoparo (2018), Vygotsky (1999), Lukács (1970) e outros. Os resultados destacam que a ascensão da personagem como heroína se dá principalmente por meio de suas fortes ações, em especial, à bondade e o amor por ela expressos em relação à Aurora.
