This paper investigates the hypothesis that it was the launching of the second edition of Torquato Neto’s Os Últimos Dias de Paupéria in 1982 that solidified the association of this author with the character he interpreted in the 1971’s movie Nosferato no Brasil. Taking into consideration the historical moment in which it was launched, that is, the ending of the military dictatorship in Brazil, this paper analyses the ways in which this movie was depicted and referenced in the book.||Este artigo investiga a hipótese de que foi a partir do lançamento da segunda edição do livro Os Últimos Dias de Paupéria, de Torquato Neto, em 1982, que a imagem deste autor se tornou indissociável do vampiro que interpretou no filme Nosferato no Brasil, de Ivan Cardoso. Levando-se em consideração o momento da história do país na qual esta edição foi lançada, ou seja, o período de abertura da ditadura civil-militar, realiza-se uma análise da forma como o filme é representado e referenciado neste livro.
