This research will investigate the narrative construction of Agustina Bazterrica's Tender is the Flesh. In the book, the reality is one of a dystopian post-pandemic world, which has lead a society to extremes of dehumanization and cruelty, naturalizing canibalism. We will also explore the existence of a contemporary Latin American and Argentinean Gothic as a social critique, which guides us to have an alert comprehension of the world in regard of the possibilities and horrors of human nature, especially in a territorial space deeply marked by the violence of colonization. We will also connect Latin American gothic horror literature to the Underdevelopment Marxist Theory.||Esse artigo buscará investigar a construção narrativa de Agustina Bazterrica no livro Saboroso Cadáver, onde a distopia de um mundo pós-pandêmico leva uma sociedade a extremos de desumanização e crueldade. Buscar-se-á explorar a existência de um gótico latino-americano contemporâneo continental e argentino enquanto crítica social, que nos guia para ter um olhar alerta sobre as possibilidades e os horrores da natureza humana, especialmente num espaço territorial profundamente marcado pela violência da colonização, também conectando a ideia da literatura gótica latino-americana as ideias da teoria da dependência latino-americana.
