Taking as its basis the analysis of the theathre piece Adeus, Robinson, from Julio Cortázar, this article discusses the elements from which the Latin-American literature, specifically, renounces and translates the imperialist experience, changing the role assigned by the dominator’s speak to the colonized world. In that sense, by the own production context of the output of the piece in question, it is given special emphasis to the political situation of the 70’s, but simultaneously, it retrieves the value of this kind of literary production to the present time since it reclaims the cultural and political resistance character that differentiates it. Therefore, it is intended to contest the title of “Third World Literature”, eventually assigned to the ex-colonies production, as this classification gives to this speak an impassable subaltern position.||Tomando por base a análise da peça Adeus, Robinson, de Julio Cortázar, este artigo discute os elementos a partir dos quais a literatura latino-americana, especificamente, resignifica e traduz a experiência imperialista, de forma a subverter o papel destinado ao mundo colonizado pelo discurso do dominador. Nesse sentido, pelo próprio contexto de produção da peça em questão, dá-se especial ênfase para a conjuntura política dos anos 1970, mas simultaneamente, recupera-se o valor deste tipo de produção literária para o tempo presente uma vez que resgata o caráter de resistência cultural e política que a diferencia. Além disso, procura-se contestar o rótulo de “Literatura do Terceiro Mundo”, eventualmente atribuído a produção das ex-colônias, na medida em que tal classificação reserva a este discurso uma posição intransponível de subalternidade.
