The uses of the notions of community, recognition, and place of speech in the recent public debate have placed the idea of belonging as synonymy and often a condition of the concept of identity. What is belonging if though not as a constituent of these nomenclatures or as part of the effects of their senses, but as something that establishes their paradoxes, their less perceptible complexities, their others, their non-places. In this article, I intend to discuss the notion of belonging to address two other central ideas that also participate in this debate: the issue of recognition and affection. I return to these two notions, in conversations with situations experienced by indigenous people, to try to think about the implications of this issue to the ideas of writing without belonging, without being the other of experience, "out of place." ||Alguns usos das noções de comunidade, reconhecimento e lugar de fala, no debate público recente, têm colocado a ideia de pertencimento como sinonímia e, muitas vezes, condição do conceito de identidade. Mas, afinal, o que é o pertencimento se pensado não como constituinte dessas nomenclaturas ou como parte dos efeitos dos seus sentidos, mas como algo que instaura seus paradoxos, suas complexidades, seus outros, seus não lugares. Neste artigo, pretendo discutir a noção de pertencimento para tratar de duas outras ideias centrais que também participam desse debate: a questão do reconhecimento e dos afetos. Retomo essas duas noções, em conversas com situações vivenciadas por indígenas, para tentar pensar as implicações dessa questão às ideias de escrever sem pertencer, sem ser o outro da experiência, “fora do lugar”.
