Resumo:Â O objetivo deste artigo é sugerir caminhos para ensinar música na escola pública de educação básica. Tem como fundamento a teoria de Swanwick (2003), e como inspiração as atividades do grupo Barbatuques, que utiliza a percussão corporal em suas criações musicais. As atividades propostas envolvem criação e reflexão no fazer musical e artístico, coletivo e individual, valorizando a música como elemento vivo de transformação intelectual, cultural e social. Palavras-chave: Música, Ensino, Escola. Abstract:Â The purpose of this article is to suggest ways to teach music in the of public primary education system. Is based on the theory of Swanwick (2003), and as inspiration the activities of Barbatuques group that uses body percussion in his musical creations. The proposed activities involve creating and reflecting on the musical and artistic collective and individual practice, appreciating music as a living element of intellectual, cultural and social transformation.
