The basic objective of tihs work is to present the pedagogical proposal elaborated for the implementation of the Physical Education couse at "Centro de Ensino Superior de Maringá" - CESUMAR. The studies about Physical Education professional formation and work market has pointed to a increasing interest by the population for the services of this professional and, consequently, demanding from the instituition which form these professionals that they transcend the biologist vision and technique that has historically marked the work of the Physical education professional. Therefore, based on the perspective of a proposal for a formation that would widen the working possibilities with knowledge consistency of the future professionals, it has been organised this proposal strutured on the National Curriculum Directives and that offer two formation modalities - Degree and Baccalaureate in Recreation and Leisure.||Este trabalho tem como objetivo básico a proposta pedagógica elaborada para s implantação e desenvolvimento do Curso de educação Física do Centro de ensino Superior de Maringá - CESUMAR. Os estudos sobre a formação profissional e, com isso, exigido das instituições formadoras de profissionais que transcendam a visão biologicista e técnica que historicamente marcaram a atuação do profissional da Educação Física. Assim, baseando-se na perspectiva de propor uma formação que ampliasse as possibilidades de atuação e com consistência de conhecimentos dos futuros profissionais, organizou-se esta proposta que se estruturou pautada nas diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais e que oferecem duas modalidades de formação - Licenciatura e Bacharelado em Recreação e Lazer.
