The purpose of this article is to investigate the issue of man’s levels of understanding, by formulating a question on the poetic intention, and focusing on aspects of contingency and distance. A connection between this level of knowledge and the other ones – the ordinary, the scientific and the philosophical one – will be outlined so as to bring forward questions concerning their nexus with philosophical anthropology.||O presente artigo pretende abordar a questão dos planos de compreensão do homem, elaborando uma pergunta sobre o plano de compreensão poética, concentrando-se nos aspectos da contingência e da distância. Uma relação entre esse nível de conhecimento e os demais – ordinário, científico e filosófica – será esboçado, de maneira a levantar questões sobre a relação entre eles para a antropologia filosófica.
