Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar o importante papel de Tania Franco Carvalhal para o Comparatismo Latino-americano. Para este propósito, serão discutidos não apenas os ensaios, artigos, palestras e conferências de Tania Carvalhal, cuja temática seja o Comparatismo Latino-americano mas também seu papel decisivo na cria- ção de inúmeras Associações Nacionais de Literatura Comparada na América Latina, bem como o empenho da comparatista brasileira na organização de vários congressos, colóquios e seminários que tinham como objetivo reunir pesquisadores do continente latino-americano para discutir questões relacionadas à Literatura Comparada.||This article aims to analyze the importat role of Tania Franco Carvalhal tothe Latin-american literary Comparativism. To this objective, it will be discussed not only Tania Carvalhal’s articles, essays, lectures and conferences which the main theme was the Latin American Comparativism but also her decisive role in the creation of several National Association of Comparative Literature in Latin America and also her efforts of the Brazilian comparatist to organize many congress, conferences and seminars that had as mais objective to reunite researchers on the Latin American continent to discuss issues related to the Comparative Literature.
