This article aims to analyze the formation process of ARENA and MDB in Paraná. For these purposes, we firstly aim to analyze the 1965 political-military crisis, which resulted in the enactment of Institutional Act No. 2 (AI-2), and the process of implementation of bipartisanism. In a second moment, the focus of analysis will be the process of organization of the Paraná ARENA, verifying who were the parliamentarians from Paraná who joined the ruling party. Finally, we intend to analyze the genesis of the MDB of Paraná and who were the parliamentarians from Paraná who opted to join the opposition party.||O presente artigo visa a analisar o processo de formação da ARENA e do MDB no Paraná. Para tais propósitos, primeiramente pretende-se analisar a crise político-militar de 1965, que resultou na decretação do Ato Institucional nº 2 (AI-2), e o processo de implantação do bipartidarismo. Em um segundo momento, o foco de análise será o processo de organização da ARENA paranaense, verificando quem foram os parlamentares paranaenses que ingressaram no partido governista. Por fim, pretende-se analisar a gênese do MDB do Paraná e quem foram os parlamentares paranaenses que optaram em ingressar no partido oposicionista.
