Royalty is considered the particular characteristic of a king. For Plato, royalty is always a wider concept, especially when the voice of Socrates, in its dialectics, establishes the principle of multiple possible perspectives over an object. In the case of the dialogue known as The Statesman or About Royalty, it is possible to find the reading of a different perspective about what is characteristic of a king, of what belongs to him since birth and of his royal status. It is also possible to approach this royalty using different kinds of knowledge, sensitivity and governing education. In this sense, the Myth of Chronos is Plato´s key allusion for such an object. The discussion of his interpretation in the dialogue may lead us to what Aristotle wouldlater establish as something more than royalty, that is the role of the Statesman, as homo politicus.||A realeza é singularmente considerada a marca adjetiva de um rei. A realeza para Platão é sempre um conceito mais amplo, principalmente quando a voz de Sócrates em sua dialética estabelece o princípio das múltiplas possibilidades de olhar sobre um objeto. No caso do diálogo conhecido como O Político (Da realeza), é possível encontrar a leitura de uma outra forma de olhar para aquilo que é próprio do rei, e lhe pertence desde o nascimento, o seu estado de realeza, como também aproximar esta realeza de uma variante de conhecimento, sensibilidade e educação para governar. O mito de Cronos é neste sentido a chave da alusão de Platão para tal objeto. Discutir sua interpretação no diálogo pode nos levar ao que Aristóteles depois estabeleceria mais do que a realeza, o papel do Estadista, como homo politicus.
