The present review aims to produce some considerations about the translation ofClarice Lispector’s short story “Love”, which was produced by writer and translator KatrinaDodson, in the book Complete Stories (Todos os contos), which was rewarded in 2016 withthe title of best translation and published in a digital version in 2022. Therefore, the recentwork aims to discuss the presence of foreignization and domestication elements in Katrina´stext, reflecting and demonstrating, by means of the Lawrence Venuti´s perspective, in hisbook The Translator's Invisibility A History of Translation (2021) the double characteristic ofall translations. This, according to the theorist’s view, must show a limited domestication ofsource text in addition to the presence of a foreignization which respects the production oforigin, to transmit it to the culture of reception with the same literary notoriety and richness.

Sendo assim, o recente trabalhovisa discutir a presença dos elementos estrangeirantes e domesticadores no texto de Katrina,buscando refletir e demonstrar, a partir da perspectiva de Lawrence Venuti, em seu livro Ainvisibilidade do tradutor: Uma história da tradução (2021) o caráter duplo de toda tradução.Esta, na visão do estudioso, deve apresentar uma limitada domesticação do texto-fonte emconjunto com a ocorrência de uma estrangeirização que objetive respeitar a produção de partida,a fim de transmiti-la para a cultura de recepção com a mesma notoriedade e riqueza literárias.
