1) Este trabalho foi escrito, em parte, graças ao apoio do Humanities Research Institute da Universidade da Califórnia. Oito pesquisadores foram convidados pelo Instituto para trabalhar durante 10 semanas em torno do tema “A transculturização no teatro latino-americano e mexicano”. Enrique Buenaventura esteve presente durante duas destas semanas como teórico e dramaturgo convidado. Aproveito esta ocasião para agradecer ao Instituto por todo seu apoio para saudar Enrique Buenaventura pelas longas e inesquecíveis horas compartilhadas durante esse tempo.
2) Este trabalho foi publicado em sua primeira versão em francês em 1992. Dada a validade do seu conteúdo, escrito originalmente em 1990, e sua distribuição limitada fora da esfera francófono, decidi publicá-lo como Marco do teatro latino-americano em uma série de trabalhos que publicarei sob esse título inicial.

1) This work was written, in part, thanks to the support of the Humanities Research Institute of the University of California. Eight researchers were invited by the Institute to work for 10 weeks on the theme "Transculturization in Latin American and Mexican theater". Enrique Buenaventura was present during two of these weeks like theoretical and invited playwright. I take this opportunity to thank the Institute for all its support to greet Enrique Buenaventura for the long and unforgettable hours shared during this time.
2) This work was published in its first French version in 1992. Given the validity of its content, originally written in 1990, and its limited distribution outside the French-speaking sphere, I decided to publish it as a landmark of the Latin American theater in a series Of works that I will publish under this initial title.
