Orientador: Gilson Uehara Gimenes Antunes||Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: Esta pesquisa trata de aspectos interpretativos direcionados ao estudo da obra Construction with Guitar Player, do compositor Harrison Birtwistle. Para isso são aplicadas as ferramentas de estudo propostas pelo violonista Eduardo Fernandez em seu livro "Técnica, Mecanismo, Aprendizaje", publicado no ano de 2000. Também é discutida a posição e o atual papel do intérprete na criação de uma interpretação, tomando como referencial a análise feita pelo violonista Jonathan Leathwood em The Medium and the Mediator: Two Studies in Composer-Performer Collaboration, publicada no ano de 2009. Leathwood foi o intérprete que colaborou com Birtwistle no processo de construção da obra. Na parte final da pesquisa são apresentados os resultados e impressões gerais do processo de estudo e criação da parte interpretativa da obra||Abstract: This research deals with the interpretative aspects linked to the study of "Construction with Guitar Player", by the composer Harrison Birtwistle. To that end, the study tools proposed by the guitarist Eduardo Fernandez in his book "Técnica, Mecanismo, Aprendisaje", published in the year of 2000 are applied. The position and present role of the interpreter in the creation of an interpretation are also discussed, taking as reference the analysis done by guitarist Jonathan Leathwood in "The Medium and the Mediator: Two Studies in Composer-Performer Collaboration", published in the year of 2009. Leathwood was the interpreter who collaborated with Birtwistle in the process of construction of the work.
