Orientador: Maria de Fátima Morethy Couto||Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Artes||Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar o corpo no surrealismo a partir da moda, baseando-se em duas vestimentas criadas pela parceria entre a estilista Elsa Schiaparelli e o artista Salvador Dali para a Coleção Circus de 1938: Tears Dress e Skeleton Dress. Ambas mostram um corpo feminino transmutado e fragmentado, criando uma beleza convulsiva ao usar a técnica de tromp-l¿oeil e trazendo contradições entre interior e exterior, ocultação e revelação, real e imaginado. Para este estudo, foram utilizadas diversas obras do campo da arte e da moda para elucidar o contexto que essas vestimentas foram feitas, seus detalhes técnicos, além de autobiografias para compreender questões poéticas que influenciaram na criação dos vestido||Abstract: This research aims to analyze the body in surrealism in the perspective of fashion, based on two dresses created in partnership by the stylist Elsa Schiaparelli and the artist Salvador Dali for the Circus Collection of 1938: Tears Dress and Skeleton Dress. Both dresses show a transmuted and fragmented female body, creating a `convulsive beauty¿ by using the tromp-l'oeil technique and bringing contradictions between interior and exterior, concealment and revelation, real and imagined. For this study were used various works of the field of arts and fashion to elucidate the context in which these garments were made, their technical details, and autobiographies to understand poetic issues that influenced the creation of the dresses||Mestrado||Artes Visuais||Mestra em Artes Visuais||CAPES
